It will mention the topics you pursue and explain how your research fits into the context of contemporary art theories and practices. This description in the form of a general manifesto, justification or commentary will be a useful tool to profile yourself whenever needed.
The text about an artist is quite detailed and extensive. It describes various aspects of your practice, therefore you can use it for multiple purposes. You will quote some of its extracts in a grant or open-call application or in a press release.
